Responsibilities:
• Identify suitable developers/aggregators for Wind energy projects, with a primary focus on Karnataka and other states.
• Coordinate with government authorities on policies, permits, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance.
• Provide support for project development activities and collaborate with the Wind Resource Assessment team for land acquisition and related tasks.
• Ensure adherence to compliances and regulations related to agriculture, forests, and land.
• Finalize the location, boundaries, and access path for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) land, validating through records.
• Assess land risks and recommend solutions.
• Support legal teams and firms in conducting and completing due diligence for land acquisition.
• Secure lands within targeted timelines.
• Handle interactions with local agencies and stakeholders to facilitate smooth acquisition and usage of lands for renewable energy projects until commissioning.
• Execute land procurement targets and plans on an end-to-end basis.
• Manage administrative tasks related to land acquisition and usage across the company's pan-India locations.
• Develop project plans and schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders for successful project implementation.
Qualifications and Competencies Needed:
• Relevant experience handling Land acquisition-related roles in the Wind and solar sector of more than 10 years. Overall experience of 15 to 22 years.
• Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects, primarily in Gujarat.
• Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
• Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.
• Familiarity with land acquisition processes, including procurement, leasing, easement, etc., for renewable power projects, including wind, wind-solar, and WTGs.
• Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
• Experience in coordinating with legal teams and conducting due diligence for land acquisition.
• Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to handle local agencies and stakeholders involved in land acquisition and usage.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
• Ability to manage administrative tasks related to land acquisition and usage across multiple locations in India.
• Good knowledge of project planning and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Good communication skills and effective coordination with team members, head office, and other stakeholders.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, for successful project implementation
