Position – Agricultural and Agritech Technician
Location – Waterloo Corner, South Australia
Salary - $77,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a technical professional who can bridge the gap between traditional agricultural science and modern Agritech. You will provide essential technical support to assist in research, production, and the opitmisation of resource efficiency through data-driven farming practices. The role is full-time and ongoing.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:
· Conduct soil, water, and plant tissue testing to monitor crop health and identify nutrient deficiencies.
· Manage installation, calibration, and maintenance of advanced Agritech hardware, such as crop health sensors, weather stations, and automated guidance systems.
· Use farm management software to collect and analyse production data to support yield forecasting and efficient resource management.
· Provide quality assurance and research support by analysing produce against export and domestic standards and assisting with controlled crop development trials.
· Provide technical guidance to farm staff on the correct operation of hydroponic, irrigation and fertigation systems.
· Support pest and disease monitoring and assist with the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma of Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Crop Science, or Agritech (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience in hydroponic, protected cropping, or irrigation-based systems is highly preferred for this specific role.
· Proficiency in precision agriculture equipment, irrigation and fertigation control systems, crop monitoring systems, and farm management software is required.
· Knowledge of Australian agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and WHS requirements.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team in field and research settings.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
