Furniture Bank has stories that need telling — across donors, clients, corporate partners, and community members. We produce content that builds trust with the audiences who fund, refer, and support families transitioning out of crisis. From short-form video to staff profiles to program explainers, every piece of content answers a question someone is already asking.
We're hiring an AI Forward Design, Communications & Video Associate to help us tell those stories faster and better. You'll use AI-assisted tools (like Descript, Claude, and Canva) alongside core creative skills to produce donor-facing content, compress production timelines, and build a growing library of media the whole team can use.
This is a six-month term at $25–30/hr with a clear pathway to a permanent role. Toronto, hybrid.
What You'll Do
Produce short-form video content including staff profiles, program explainers, and donor thank-you pieces
Design visual assets for social media, email campaigns, and print materials
Use AI tools to accelerate editing, generate drafts, and compress production timelines
Put real staff on camera and build a content library that answers the questions our audiences actually ask
Support communications across donor, client, corporate, and community channels
What We're Looking For
Comfort with video production, graphic design, and learning new platforms
Genuine interest in AI tools and how they can support nonprofit storytelling
Ability to translate complex programs into clear, compelling visual content
Attention to detail and respect for the stories of families we serve
A collaborative mindset — this role works across every department
