About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will help improve childhood immunisation outcomes by ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of the Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR). Your work will directly support equitable health outcomes for tamariki and whānau, particularly Māori and priority populations.
As the AIR Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate and manage high-quality, accurate immunisation data within the Aotearoa Immunisation Register
Generate and monitor outreach immunisation referrals and report on outcomes
Use Power BI and other systems to identify children at risk of being under-immunised and support timely follow-up
Provide expert advice and support to health providers across primary care, Māori health, Well Child/Tamariki Ora, outreach services and more
Act as the regional point of contact with the National AIR team
Support service delivery to meet Health NZ targets, with a strong focus on quality, safety and equity
Contribute to continuous improvement in immunisation services across the West Coast
This role involves a mix of office-based work, community outreach and collaboration with a wide range of internal and external partners.

About you
You are an experienced administrator with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data quality. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. You are comfortable with outreach work in the community, at clinics and in an office environment as required. You will also bring:
Proven experience in administration and data/analytical systems (including Power BI)
Advanced computer skills particularly Microsoft office
Personal accountability, integrity and a collaborative approach to working with others
Ability and enthusiasm to learn new systems and technologies
A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in practice
Commitment to equity and improving health outcomes for Māori
It is desirable if you have experience with cold chain management and knowledge of the health sector and its legislative or political context.
