The Air Force Familiarisation Program is designed to give students exposure to what a career in the Air Force could be like. Roles covered in this placement may include aircrew, technical, ground support roles, military working dogs, engineering, maintenance, logistics, air traffic control, PTI’s, medical and fire & rescue. We are looking for students that are curious and open to new experiences.
Activities that you may participate in may include:
Flight Simulators & Aircraft Movement Simulators
Leadership activities - group trust and problem solving activities
Military life and skills training (marching, drill and compass navigation) – all you need for this is a flexible attitude and cognitive ability to follow directions
Seminars and discussions with various Australia Defence Force and Australian Public Service personnel
Hands on activities and job-based scenarios
