We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our team in New South Wales. As a trusted provider of high-quality air conditioning solutions, we specialize in designing, installing, and maintaining residential and commercial systems.
About the Role
Review blueprints and technical diagrams to determine system requirements and installation layouts.
Lay out installation reference points, drill holes, fit mounting brackets, and prepare sites for air conditioning system components.
Cut, bend, flare, and braze copper refrigerant lines; install drainage systems and condensate pipes to support efficient refrigerant flow and cooling performance.
Install and assemble key air conditioning components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, thermostats, and control units, ensuring correct alignment and secure connections.
Wire and connect electrical components such as motors, relays, capacitors, circuit boards, and control panels, following safety protocols and schematics.
Adjust system controls, calibrate settings, and fine-tune mechanisms to optimize cooling efficiency, airflow distribution, and energy consumption.
Detect and repair system leaks through brazing, replacing faulty seals, gaskets, or valves, and perform retests to confirm system integrity and performance.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including cleaning condenser and evaporator coils, lubricating moving parts, and checking air filters for optimal performance.
Record diagnostic findings, detail maintenance activities, identify causes of system malfunctions, and document corrective actions taken for accurate service history and future reference.
