We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Airfield Manager to join our Airport Operations team at Launceston Airport.
Key responsibilities:
Lead safe and compliant airfield operations, ensuring alignment with CASA regulations and airport standards
Manage day-to-day airfield performance, driving operational excellence, safety outcomes and customer experience
Provide leadership to Airport Operations Officers, including workforce planning, rostering and capability development
Act as the primary interface with regulators including CASA and Airservices Australia
Oversee airfield safety, hazard management and operational planning activities
Collaborate with stakeholders across airlines, contractors and emergency services to support safe and efficient operations
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in aviation operations, ideally within airfield or airport environments
Strong knowledge of CASA regulations, aerodrome operations and safety management systems
Demonstrated leadership experience in a safety-critical, 24/7 operational environment
Experience managing risk, compliance and operational performance
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to lead teams, manage incidents and make decisions under pressure
