The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Alarm Service 2IC to work out of our Auckland office, or someone who is ready to take that next step in their career. You will have delivered a broad range of projects and service-related work within the fire alarm industry to become involved in some exciting and challenging opportunities within the service business. This role provides an opportunity to take full ownership of the service business from technically engineered solutions through to compliance statutory requirements while managing a team of technicians and delivering excellent service.
The Role
The ideal candidate will need to have a solid understanding and experience in managing projects, provide technical support to the Project managers, and service work from complex jobs to remedial work as well as fire calls.
We need someone to manage multiple jobs from all service-related work through to minor work installations. You will also be responsible for forecasting, budgets, quality, and customer relationship management.
You will have a strong focus on client relationship management and resolve any problems or concerns.
Your background
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Health and Safety systems.
Competency and a strong understanding of fire alarms with at least five years' experience.
Related management or coordination experience.
Experience working on minor work projects as well as service-related work.
Practical technical knowledge and understanding of fire protection systems of all types, having worked in the industry for some time, preferably with industry qualifications.
Understanding of the relevant NZ Standards, NZ Building Code, and local building compliance regulations.
Good communication and people-management skills.
Good computer skills.
