As a Retail Store Layout Specialist, he/she will be responsible for designing efficient, innovative, and brand-aligned floor plans that optimize space utilization, customer flow, product visibility, and operational efficiency.
He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams including bd, visual merchandisers, brand team, and project managers to bring retail visions to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop conceptual and detailed floor plans for new retail stores, renovations, and marque special projects.
Analyze brand requirements of merch, site conditions, and brand requirements to make well thought out layout decisions.
Create zoning plans to support customer journeys and maximize commercial performance.
Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and retail best practices.
Generate presentation materials, 2D drawings, 3D visuals, and construction documents.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timelines and adherence to brand requirements
Conduct site visits as required to assess layouts and oversee design implementation.
Requirements
Bachelor or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
3+ years of experience in retail design, with a strong emphasis on layout planning.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite; 3D rendering skills preferred.
Strong understanding of customer behavior, wayfinding, and retail zoning strategies.
Excellent spatial awareness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to present concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience with retail brands or multi-site rollouts.
Knowledge of retail design principles and materials.
