Job Summary
As an Amazon Forklift Operator in the Warehouse Material Transport department, you will play a key role in supporting our logistics operations by safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel. You will be operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure products are accurately and timely transported, stored, and prepared for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Safely load, unload, and organize products in designated storage areas, ensuring proper stacking and labeling.
• Perform routine equipment checks to ensure forklifts and other equipment are in good working condition.
• Assist in inventory control by moving items based on specific requests from inventory teams.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns with equipment to the supervisor.
• Follow warehouse protocols for proper handling and transportation of hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Adhere to operational goals and KPIs, ensuring high productivity rates and minimal errors.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• Valid forklift certification required.
• Proven experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors.
• Basic understanding of warehouse inventory systems and materials handling procedures.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required by the role.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Experience
• Previous experience working as a forklift operator, warehouse worker, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with material handling and transporting large items within a warehouse setting is an asset.
• Prior experience working with Amazons warehouse systems or related logistics software is a plus.
• Working Hours
• Full-time position with flexible working hours, including the possibility of weekend shifts.
• Shifts may vary, including early mornings, evenings, and overnight depending on warehouse scheduling needs.
• Overtime may be required during peak operational periods.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse material handling equipment.
• Physical Stamina: Able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
