Amazon Warehouse Equipment Operator - Machinery and Tools Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Warehouse Equipment Operator - Machinery and Tools Specialist to join our team at Amazon. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various warehouse equipment, ensuring that all machinery and tools are functioning optimally to support the seamless flow of operations. As a specialist in machinery and tools, you will ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity while managing the equipment used in the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain warehouse machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment used in the movement and storage of goods.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Assist with the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure the safe operation of equipment at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Manage inventory of tools and machinery, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly stored.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing warehouse staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Document and report any maintenance or equipment issues, coordinating with the maintenance team for repairs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for equipment and safety.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in operating warehouse machinery and tools, preferably in a similar setting.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and troubleshooting on machinery and tools.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining warehouse machinery and tools.
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with forklift certification and other safety training programs is a plus.
• Working Hours
• Full-time position.
• Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required to meet operational demands.
• Flexibility to work overtime or adjust hours during peak periods.
