Responsibilities
Responding to emergency calls: To reach the site of the emergency as quickly and safely as possible.
Transporting patients: Safely transport patients to the hospital or other medical facilities. To secure the patient to the stretcher and ensure that any medical equipment is properly set up and functioning.
Maintaining the ambulance: To regularly inspect and maintain the ambulance, including checking fluid levels, tyre pressure, and other mechanical components.
Communication with dispatch: The driver must maintain communication with the dispatch center, relaying information about the patient’s condition and the progress of the transport.
