Location: Bankstown, Sydney 2200
Hours: Part Time - Saturdays and/or Thursdays (more shifts may be available, but you MUST be available for one of the listed days above)
Role Description
We are looking for a bright, confident and enthusiastic AMEB Piano Teacher for our students! You will be assigned students who are learning the AMEB piano and piano for leisure series, to prepare them to undertake their exams. You will also be required to teach AMEB music theory lessons. All resources and teaching materials are provided - no lesson planning needed! This job is perfect for university students looking for a steady part time job with fixed weekly hours, or a music teacher looking to supplement their portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills
You are comfortable and confident communicating in English to students of all ages and ability
Skilled and knowledgeable in playing piano (ideally AMEB Grade 6 and above)
Familiarity with the AMEB music syllabus and exams
Reliable, happy, professional and passionate about education and music
Desirable Traits
Having proficiency in a second language (e.g. Chinese, Vietnamese etc.)
Completed AMEB Grade 8 or above and AMEB Grade 4 Music Theory
Previous music teaching experience
Previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, early childhood education)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 3 per week

Bankstown NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
