Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth AML audits and reviews of processes, controls, and procedures within the investment banking division.
• Assess the effectiveness of AML policies, procedures, and controls, identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to strengthen AML frameworks and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant AML regulations, including KYC (Know Your Customer), CDD (Customer Due Diligence), and transaction monitoring.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and suggested action points for senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Compliance, Legal, Risk) to ensure alignment with broader regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest AML regulatory developments and best practices.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in AML auditing, with a strong background in investment banking.
• Deep understanding of AML regulations, financial crime prevention, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, FCA, OFAC).
• Proven ability to identify and manage financial crime risks within an investment bank.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Must have the right to work in the UK/EU (valid work permit/visa required).
