Are you our next AML/CTF Manager?
Reporting to the Chief of Operations, this position sits within the Operations business unit of our Bank. This position directly supports our purpose through oversight of our AML/CTF monitoring program and supporting business line AML/CTF activities and initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Ongoing management & maintenance of the Transaction Monitoring Rules based within the automated TMS.
Oversight of member OCDD & ECDD activities, including High Risk members & PEPs.
Management of the processes that support the lodgement of SMRs to Austrac.
Development and maintenance of procedures that support AML/CTF Activities.
Management of direct reports in ensuring that ongoing activities are being completed on time and in line with agreed targets.
Act as a key contact with third party vendors on technical / system changes impacting upon AML/CTF monitoring obligations.
Assist with the completion of the Bank’s AML/CTF Risk Assessment.
Provide support to ongoing reviews of the Bank’s AML/CTF Program.
The AML/CTF Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding our Bank and fostering a strong risk culture by supporting initiatives that enhance ML/TF risk awareness and compliance across the bank. This includes providing further advice and training to various business units is support of AML/CTF compliance.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are a passionate compliance operations professional who has a particular flair for AML/CTF with high attention to detail who is comfortable working within a newly established dedicated Operations team.
You will utilise your problem-solving skills to overcome challenges. Your energy, commitment and level-headed approach ensures you thrive in this dynamic environment.
You have:
At least 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in Financial Services, AML/CTF Risk and Compliance related
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance or Compliance.
Affiliation with AML/CTF Risk and Compliance industry associations.
You will also have demonstrated experience or skills in:
Building relationships and communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Analysing situations and solving problems.
Working autonomously.
Self-managing your work to achieve deadlines.
Identifying, interpreting, and applying banking/corporate legislation, prudential standards, regulatory guides, codes, and company policies.
