About the Role
">
We are seeking a qualified Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician to join our team on a Casual basis. As an integral part of our theatre team, you will be responsible for assisting the Anaesthetist with ongoing patient care throughout the intra-operative phase. You will also prepare equipment, maintain and develop clinical skills, and ensure high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
">
- Assist the Anaesthetist with patient care throughout the intra-operative phase
- Prepare equipment for allocated operating lists
- Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to manage patient health problems appropriate to competency level
- Ensure high standard of patient care, utilising appropriate resources cost effectively
- Function within legal and registration constraints in relation to anaesthetic practice
- Recognise hazards to patient safety and take appropriate action

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Cert IV Anaesthetic Technology
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Problem-solving ability
- Ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision
- Flexibility with rostering and commitment to teamwork
