The Global Banking Multinationals business in South India is a USD 100 million plus business across the client base in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad serving over 150+ global relationships of the bank across more than 350 legal entities.
We are currently seeking an Analyst / Associate to support the Relationship Management team in Chennai.
About the market: Chennai is a market characterized by a mix of Multinationals subsidiaries and Large local corporates and forms a very important industrial hub of Southern India accounting for a large number of automobile manufacturing companies, ancillaries and component suppliers, industrial automation and IT and ITES companies, shared service centres to name a few. This is a market that has a good mix of a number of Korean, German, French, Japanese who have set up shop to benefit from industrial grants given to them. A few of our core Global Banking names like Daimler, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Renault Nissan, FL Schmidt, Hyundai have well set up subsidiaries in this city. Besides the dominant cult of these companies, there are important Large Local Corporates like the TVS Group and Murugappa Group which are GRB'ed names and have a large number of group companies within the Mastergroup who are significant clients of the Bank. Thus these are in addition to large and complex MNC relationships. Owing to such a large presence this market is transaction banking and credit
