Position Overview
The Banking Operations Analyst position is responsible for the day–to-day cash functions providing accurate and timely service to all internal and external clients. This role is aligned to our Head Office in Winnipeg.
What you will do
Ensuring that all internal and external cash movement requests have the appropriate authorizations, transferring the cash, and recording the movement with journal entries
Prepare daily cash flow projections to Treasury division. Requires analysis of bank activity, review of upcoming cash requirements net of known deposit activity
Daily processing/recording of all cheques, EFT’s and incoming wire transfers
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all departmental electronic software links with the banks
Daily use of treasury management system for transactions, reporting and bank administration
Assist management in streamlining and documenting processes
Other general or department wide tasks as assigned
What you will bring
Completion of post secondary education, specializing in Accounting/Finance, such as Business Administration or B. Comm
Working towards a professional accounting designation would be an asset
Accounting/treasury experience would be an asset
Knowledge of treasury management system (such as Kyriba) would be an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deadlines
Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.
The base salary for this position is between $45,600 - $68,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
