What Commercial & Customer Operations contributes to BD
The mission of CCO to enable commercial strategy and drive profitable sales growth by shifting our mindset to being more “front office”, by exceeding customer needs and improving customer experience in the areas of contracting, sales operations, business analytics and program management/operational excellence.
This will be accomplished by standardizing, automating, and integrating (CoE approach) as one company, driving data integrity, and remaining agile to the evolving needs of customers and BD’s Go-to-Market corporate and BU strategies.

Accountabilities in this role
Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Data and Reporting, this role will support the Commercial Operations data strategy by integrating, transforming, and harmonizing the data elements across the entire customer experience. A thorough understanding of various data sources and system and business processes is required for this position. This role will focus on delivering timely, accurate data and insightful reporting and analytics to all business units in the US Region. Success will require an adaptability and drive for continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring foundational data and data models are at a high quality for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy by developing and implementing proactive data cleansing processes
Collaborate and knowledge share with internal teams to ensure single source of truth for all data
Drive data standardization and harmonization for Commercial Operations and supported businesses
Optimize and automate current portfolio of tools to provide accurate/timely data in a usable/automated format to visualize trends relative to analytics function
Assist in ensuring critical data harmonization activities enable long term automation and scalability
Develop and implement tools and processes to streamline path to resolution and prevent reoccurring issues
Translate and enhance business requirements into timely validated deliverables adhering to governance policies
Participates in key projects as assigned by leadership
Minimal travel required for this position
Qualifications
3-5 years demonstrated experience in business analytics or process improvement
Deep understanding in data relations, data standardization, analytics, and automation
Highly proficient in Excel, Database development (i.e., MS Access, SQL, Oracle), Data Mining tools and SAP BI/BW
Advanced Portal User for SAP, including the ability to train and document processes
Experience in ERP and Business Warehouse implementation
Proven experience in implementing new processes/systems and improvement of process efficiency
Lean/6S/agile experience preferred
Data visualization developer experience preferred
Proven experience in implementing new processes/systems and improvement of process efficiency
Highly strategic and analytical problem solver with solid business acumen
Able to identify key business information needs through dialog and assist in development clear strategic recommendations on how to provide the desired insights
Proven ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization
Ability to prioritize and execute a variety of objectives and clearly communicate progress and roadblocks
Ability to articulate complex concepts, thought leadership and the business value of solutions in a clear, understandable way
