Introduction:
• Candidate will be responsible to support Elastic Data Platform Application as SME
• He/She should be flexible to work in shift (India or UK) and weekend on call support if required.
What will you be doing?
• Perform incident and problem management activities, including working closely with technology and business stakeholders to provide innovative and tactical solutions to issues as well as improving the performance of our Applications and processes; this will include managing major incidents, performing post incident reviews and coordinating with our various 3rd party suppliers
• Lead planning and execution timelines/activities of various major releases and critical changes into Production and DR environments in collaboration with our development and technology support teams; this will include creating & managing change requests in accordance with Barclays Change Management standards
• Independently identify repetitive or time consuming processes that can be automated, especially where they benefit multiple business areas, and deliver a sustainable solution that can be leveraged for other areas as needed.
• Creation of required knowledge base documentation required to support applications, including appropriate sign-off where required
• Coordination of various support activities across the global team, including handover of issues, knowledge sharing, training and collaboration on strategic projects
• Off-hours on-call support will be required for this role on a rotational basis
• Work closely with the wider global EDP RTB teams to ensure best utilisation of resource and allocation of BAU work.
• Contribute to building Knowledge base and overall good health of the application.
• Implement and adhere to ITIL standards across the team. Collaborate in a team of peers to support a central enterprise platform that specializes in Machine Learning model executions.
• Champion the automated operation of the platform by creating compelling features in the form of software pipelines, site resiliency, process automation, and quality documentation.
• Provide support services in the form of incident investigation, recovery, and resolution to all clients of the platform.
• Become a Barclays' citizen by networking, attending town halls, and participating in events that raise the corporate equity of this role, its team, and the department.
• Complete in a timely manner all minimally required tasks such as timesheets, corporate training, and any other administrative requirements pertaining to the role.

• Ability to breakdown complex problems using appropriate design patterns and best practices demonstrating a strong knowledge foundation and a sound approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to build automated pipelines that integrate and transport software through reliable, secure, and governed channels from conception to production.
• Ability to build a suite of real-time monitoring and automation software that encompass resilient and self-healing platform operations.
• Ability to conduct effective triage and remediation of production incidents with accompanying customer service and support for all clients of the platform.
• Ability to provide quality documentation.

• Experience/working knowledge of - Oracle DB, AWS, Openshift v4, Tivoli Workload Scheduler(TWS), AbInitio GDE 4.0.1 & knowledge on EME
• Experience with monitoring tools : ESaaS/Kibana , Grafana , AppDynamics
• Experience with SSL certificate management
• Experience with: Chef, ESA & Protegrity
• Experience in operating system: Linux , Unix (Shell scripting)
• Experience working with container technologies: Openshift, Docker, Docker-Compose, Kubernetes.
• Experience with developer tools: Git, Jenkins.
• Experience with the Windows/Linux environments and cmd/Bash scripting.
• Familiar working in a Hybrid-Cloud environment: AWS, Datacentres, and others.
• Familiar with or comfortable picking up languages: Java, Python, SQL, and others.
• Familiar working in an Agile structure (Scrum or Kanban) with project management tools: Jira, BitBucket
• Ability to produce quality documentation and diagrams.
