Job Description
The analyst will contribute to the innovation and transformation of GTB offerings and capabilities. The role will be reserved for a results-oriented, enthusiastic, creative, energetic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidate must be an independent self-starter that brings proven product and business experience to the team, is a positive self-learner and thrives working in a constantly evolving environment. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a deep intellectual curiosity, a passion for change, transaction banking, product management, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Facilitate the daily management of vostro client onboarding, account maintenance, and escalations. This necessitates a comprehensive understanding of client requirements, products, processes, pricing structure, policies, and legal agreements/frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance to implement product enhancements and ensure seamless service delivery.
Support the development and upkeep of product documentation for both internal and client-facing purposes. This may entail periodically supporting go-to-market activities.
Execute on business strategy and product roadmap to help the team meet business OKRs.
Track product performance, profitability, competitiveness, and provide insights to leaders for improvement and innovation.
Prepare reports on client performance, pricing, cost analysis, and market trends for senior management.
Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the global transaction banking industry. This includes noting market trends, regulatory changes, and modifications to industry standards to inform and update the product backlog.
Participate in client meetings and engagements to present products and gather feedback and understand client needs and expectations.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in transaction banking, or product management function.
Familiarity with SWIFT, cross-border payments, and treasury/securities settlement including ISO20022 and APIs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
The following qualifications are considered a strong asset:
Experience in product management or development within financial services context.
Experience in working with international or institutional clients and understanding of transaction banking practices as well as correspondent banking products.
Understanding of payment rails and processing in Canada, US, and foreign jurisdictions.
