Role Description
Overview of team:
This is key vertical within the IB CFO - Strategy & Business Planning team space. The IB Planning & Performance management offshore team analyses and reviews Deutsche Bank’s performance both qualitatively and quantitatively. It also supports the senior management in taking decisions regarding the business, in light of performance analysis, industry trends, regulatory outlook and other factors. The team also provides support in preparation of various briefing documents and presentations to help senior management in their internal and external communications.
Major work deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis include:
Presentation materials for senior management internal and external communications
Strategic analyses that help shape senior management thinking and decisions
Setting Targets and operationalising IB 5 years Strategic Plan.
Performance management: Reviewing plan and monitoring plan vs. Forecast and actuals and provide relevant commentary
Revenue analytics – Track revenue on daily basis, provide revenue estimates and commentary around the same
Drive automation across platform

Your key responsibilities
Contribute to the overall team’s workflow – ensuring that deliverables are completed accurately and on a timely basis
Produce packs encompassing financial information like Revenue estimate & forecast to enable measurability like MoM, YoY, and Plan variance, commentaries etc
Prepare materials and presentations for senior management, demonstrating key performance driver for Investment Bank
Capture, analyse and present plan data (including quantitative and qualitative aspects) in a meaningful manner
Assist in analysis of internal/external data based on ad-hoc requests received from senior management
Be able to learn content quickly – although investment banking experience is not a pre-requisite, the role involves researching and analysing new topics on a regular basis
Responsibilities will also encompass other recurring e.g. ESG reporting as well as ad-hoc project related analysis work
Your skills and experience
3-5 years of work experience
Excellent Excel, Power point and Word skills. Knowledge of Acrobat
Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, commitment & interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good multitasking skills
Handle work pressure and organise tasks in order to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
FP&A background / work experience will be preferred (though not compulsory)
Post Graduate, preferably in business or other quantitative field (CA, CWA, MBA etc)
