ABOUT THE TEAM
Parametric Institutional Operations is responsible for onboarding new clients, maintaining documentation and accounts necessary to successfully implement and execute client mandates, and for the execution of operational and accounting activities related to customized portfolio mandates for Institutional Clients. The team is comprised of five teams, Onboarding, Documentation, Operations, Middle Office, and Accounting, which include several resources dedicated to project management, automation, and vendor projects.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As part of the Global Operations Team, the Institutional Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of responsibilities set out below.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of reconciliations between Custodian, IBOR, and proprietary system.
– Ensure accuracy of the impact of corporate actions on portfolios.
– Work with both internal and external stakeholders to research and resolve discrepancies quickly with a sense of urgency that arises during the reconciliation process to minimize the impact to the Client.
– Escalate reconciliation issues and situations that may indicate a lapse in controls, missing controls, or data integrity issues to support teams.
– Accurate and timely posting of contributions, distributions, income, and expenses into to proprietary system to ensure the integrity of the economics of each portfolio.
– Monitor overdrawn accounts and inform Teams to ensure a quick resolution to minimize cost to the client and the firm.
– Assist in the improvement of operational processes; propose solutions, liaise with developers, and test enhancements.
– Communicate frequently and openly with Institutional Operations colleagues, solidifying a positive working relationship and prompt resolution of all situations that require attention.
– Bilateral Over the counter (OTC) support: Initial Margin, Variation Margin, reconciliation, and collateral management activities to support the OTC Operations and Middle Office Teams.
– Cleared Derivatives (Futures, Options, Cleared OTC) support; Initial Margin, Variation Margin, reconciliation, and collateral management activities to support the Cleared Derivatives Operations Team.
– Support client activities for non-US Institutional Clients. This includes trade settlement, trade confirmation, and problem resolution activities.
– Support business activities related to Institutional Client management fee calculations and revenue collection.
– Process ad-hoc requests from Clients, and internal stakeholders.
– Cross-train on multiple responsibilities, to ensure the successful convergence of effort in multiple time zones. Maintain procedures over time, ensuring their accuracy for use in both cross-training and audit situations.
– Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
SKILL SET
Required Experience: 3+ years

PRIMARY SKILLS
– Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting or related area of study OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Three or more years relevant industry experience with and knowledge/understanding of the characteristics of Derivatives and Investment Accounting strongly preferred.
Excellent Communication (written and oral), Interpersonal Skills and be an Effective Team Player
Ability to independently assess and prioritize work and ongoing initiatives during times of peak activity and to meet tight deadlines.
Experience with the implementation of controls and maintenance of the highest of standards in terms of accuracy and risk reduction.
– Well organized, self-starter with the ability to analyze information.
– Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
– Competent in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel, VBA/Macros a plus
– Ability to Maximize effectiveness of cross time-zone operations through effective hand-off of work.
