Hybrid Working

Remote role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach to hybrid working meaning that colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).
For this specific role, the onsite working requirement is one day a week, which is a role-based exception due to the requirements of the role. Introduction:
The Trade Sanctions Screening Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with trade regulations and sanctions standards and policies. Review Trade transactions, investigate any potential true matches, escalate where required as per process



What will you be doing?

The primary responsibilities of the Specialist in Trade and Sanction Screening include:
Investigation of potential matches that resulted from the screening in line with sanctions standards/policies and procedures.
Analysing financial transactions and trade activities to identify any potential violations of trade regulations or sanctions policies that may occur.
Investigating, tracking, and analysing hits generated during screening processes in order to determine whether the hit is in violation of sanctions policies or not.
Tracking & interpreting changes in regulations, internal standards and incorporating the same in Operations process
Communicating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders like compliance, operations and FinCrime technology for BAU on projects
Participating in internal and external audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is organized and ready for review.
Preparing and circulation of periodic MI


What we’re looking for:

Candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail
Working knowledge of trade regulations and sanctions standards & policies, and have experience in screening processes and relevant software tools.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, being able to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders alike
Candidate should have a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethics, and the ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues in the India trade sanctions screening team
