Responsibilities
Job context:
Societe Generale AML Continuous Monitoring Department in France (ACM) is responsible for AML – FT alerts processing generated by monitoring tools for correspondent banking activities (GTPS/BAN). A new alerts monitoring process has been put in place, based on segregation between level 1 and 2 alerts treatment and no more end-to-end processing. In this context, some of ACM roles and responsibilities have been offshored to SG GSC team in Chennai
As part of the offshored team, Analysts / Senior Analyst will participate in assessing compliance of payments passing through GTPS/BAN BU to protect the bank against money laundering and terrorism financing, in relationship with ACM. They will be solely indeed responsible for level 1 alerts analysis and as such will interact with onshore team. Onshore team is responsible for addressing complex alerts that need further investigation (level 2) and may lead to Atypical Operating Procedure and Suspicious Activity Report
Each Analyst / Senior Analyst will thus report hierarchically to their local Operations Manager, and functionally to the GTPS/BAN AML monitoring activity manager in Paris.
Purpose:
Primary Responsibilities
1) Assess risk events (i.e. Alerts), created by the Monitoring systems, to identify unusual customer behavior and escalate such unusual patterns for Analysis. Perform the assessment in accordance with the SOP procedure. Processing of Alerts/cases should be within the turnaround time (TAT) and should adhere to the quality guidelines.
2) Share best practices with peers and support in creating an FCC Risk Management Culture of Excellence.
3) Ensure Technology / Risk issues identified are reported and escalated to the Manager in a timely manner.
4) Ensure regulatory requests received from country relating to AML are promptly attended to.
5) Complete all mandatory e- learning modules within stipulated timelines and attend trainings for which nominated
6) Uphold the values of the Group at all times
7) Assist the Associate Manager / Manager in BCP / DR testing in addition to taking appropriate measure for managing crisis situation
8) Assist the Associate Manager / Manager in Service management of the surveillance service to the countries
+) Specialize in the identification of unusual customer behavior
10) Work in Shift according to Business requirement.
