Android App Developer (Electric Bike & Electric Car) - SDE I / SDE II
Location: Onsite Pune
The Opportunity:
We're seeking a skilled Android App Developer (SDE I / SDE II) to build the next generation of applications for our electric bike and car ecosystem. You'll play a crucial role in developing robust, scalable, and intuitive Android apps that power our logistics, fleet management, and last-mile operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native Android applications for electric bike and electric car operations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define, develop, and ship new features.
• Work extensively on critical microservices and features related to logistics, real-time tracking, fleet management, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness, actively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Contribute to code reviews, uphold high code quality standards, and write comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Required Skills & Experience:
• SDE I: 3+ years of experience in native Android app development.
• SDE II:5+ years of experience in native Android app development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin(preferred) or Java, with deep understanding of the Android SDK and different OS versions.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming (e.g., Coroutines, RxJava).
• Expertise in modern Android architecture patterns like MVVM, MVI, utilizing LiveData, ViewModel, Room, and Data Binding/View Binding.
• Proficiency with dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger Hilt, Koin).
• Hands-on experience with Google Maps API, Location Services (GPS, Fused Location Provider), and Geofencing.
• Strong understanding of offline data handling, background processing (WorkManager), threading, and performance optimization.
• Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Proven experience working on logistics, fleet management, or last-mile operations-related software/microservices from companies like Blinkit, Zomato, Swiggy, Instamart, Zepto, Amazon, Uber, Rapido, Shadowfax, Pidge, or Next Billion AI.

• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication for interacting with vehicle systems or external devices.
• Familiarity with IoT concepts and device integration (e.g., telematics, sensors).
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and messaging protocols (e.g., WebSockets, MQTT).
• Experience with Firebase services (e.g., Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics).
• Understanding of UI/UX principles for in-vehicle or driver-centric applications.
• Familiarity with security best practices for mobile applications handling sensitive data.
