Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer who is passionate about mobile technologies and eager to contribute to the design and development of robust, user-friendly applications. You will work closely with our cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable and performant Android apps aligned with our mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to create seamless mobile experiences
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise app performance
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, automation, and code reviews
• Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, technologies, and best practices
• Contribute to planning, sprint reviews, and Agile development cycles
Preferred Experience & Skills
• Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
• Familiarity with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, Navigation)
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with local databases (e.g., Room)
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and Google’s Material Design guidelines
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Espresso) and CI/CD tools is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
