Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Native Android Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain native Android applications. As a Native Android Developer, you should have a solid understanding of the Android ecosystem and be familiar with best practices in Android application development. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to create robust, user-friendly, and visually appealing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and build native Android applications using Java or Kotlin, following industry best practices and design patterns.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring adherence to coding standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Continuously optimize application performance and implement new features and enhancements based on user feedback and market trends.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless communication between the application and the server.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in the Android ecosystem and apply them to improve application development processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and promote continuous learning.
- Work in an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document and maintain technical specifications, project-related documentation, and code comments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Up to 1 year of professional experience in native Android application development.
- Strong knowledge of Java or Kotlin programming languages.
- Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other development tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and material design principles.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Google Play Store submission process.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Espresso.
- Knowledge of reactive programming (RxJava, LiveData, etc.).
- Understanding of dependency injection frameworks (Dagger, Koin, etc.).
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
