We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with a strong background in building applications for embedded Android systems, touchscreen devices, and IoT applications. As an Android Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications that interact with hardware components and enable seamless connectivity with IoT devices.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications for embedded systems, touchscreen devices, and IoT applications.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into functional applications.
3. Implement innovative solutions for hardware interaction, ensuring the smooth integration between software and hardware components.
4. Optimize application performance, considering memory management, power efficiency, and responsiveness.
5. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues and ensure application stability and reliability.
6. Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, and technologies, and apply them to improve the development process.
7. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that maximize the user experience.
8. Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards through code reviews and refactoring.
+. Work closely with the QA team to perform comprehensive testing and ensure high-quality deliverables.
10. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute ideas for enhancing the overall system design and functionality.
Qualifications / Skills required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
2. 5+ years of experience in Android development
3. Solid knowledge of Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, and other relevant programming languages for Android app development.
4. Strong knowledge and working experience on Android IPC Mechanisms such as Intents, Broadcasts, Content Providers, Bound Services, AIDL.
5. Experience in developing applications for embedded Android systems, touchscreen devices, and IoT screens.
6. Proficiency in hardware interaction and familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI) for interfacing with sensors, actuators, and other hardware components.
7. Familiarity with IoT technologies, protocols, and platforms for seamless integration and data exchange with IoT devices.
8. Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and best practices.
+. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
10. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
11. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality and reliable software solutions.
•Previous knowledge of React Native would be an added advantage.
•Ability to quickly learn React Native with Redux/Mobx.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with C/C++ programming for Android NDK development.
2. Knowledge of low-level system development and firmware programming.
3. Experience with cloud platforms and services for IoT applications.
