Job Description
Delphic looking for an Android developer minimum 3 years experience developing and maintaining of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. You should have extensive knowledge of the Android operating system and its functionalities.
Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure to deliver functional & user-friendly Android applications in a timely manner. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Conceptualizing and formulating apps that are suitable for use on all types of Android devices.
• Monitoring the app’s technical life-cycle during each phase of development.
• Evaluate the existing applications and implement new technologies to maximize app’s efficiency.
• Maintain and update the design specifications and source code for new applications.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Collaborating with Senior Android Developer and cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Performing unit and instrumentation tests on code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.
• Proofreading your code and correcting mistakes before each app is released.
• Creating app updates, including bug fixes and additional features, for release.
• Implementing measures to safeguard users' data.
• Ensuring that the construction and presentation of your apps are congruent with the company's standards.
• Monitoring app reviews to detect areas for improvement.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies, applications, and protocols to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements:
• Degree in software development, computer science, or similar.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Familiar with different versions of Android and Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Excellent coding, testing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience as an android developer will be advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and teamwork.
• Outstanding presentation skills and time management skills.
