Role: Senior Android/AndroidTV/FireTV App Developer
Location - Bangalore
Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Android/AndroidTV/FireTV App Developer to join our development team.
As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android and AndroidTV/FireTV applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to create innovative and user-friendly applications.
Develop and maintain advanced Android and AndroidTV/FireTV applications in Kotlin. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Android and AndroidTV/FireTV app development and propose innovative solutions.
Ensure app quality by conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and implementing effective debugging and testing strategies.
Optimize app performance, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences on various devices.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Android and AndroidTV/FireTV app development.
Proficiency in Kotlin programming languages.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools. Knowledge of Jetpack compose is added advantage.
Experience developing and deploying apps on the Google Play Store and Solid understanding of Android UI/UX guidelines and best practices.
Strong knowledge of Android and AndroidTV frameworks, APIs, and development tools. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities & demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Experience with Android app development and Android TV development, including leanback support and TV-specific UI considerations.
Experience in integrating Analytics platforms like (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc)
Experience in developing media apps serving Live and VOD content types Hands on experience in VideoPlayer (Exo Player) or 3rd party like Bitmovin/JW Player Familiarity with backend technologies and RESTful APIs.
Experience with cloud-based technologies and services (e.g., Firebase, AWS) & Knowledge on in-app purchase and subscriptions in Android PlayStore
