Description
FoodCLUB, voted #1 startup in the prestigious Natwest Accelerator, is looking for a student, who is adept with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose to join the team on a part-time/internship basis over the summer.
Our mission is to pioneer the first social media for food and through that, aiming to address and alleviate pressing global issues such as hunger, socio-economic disparities, climate change, and health.
Tech has redefined many of your life up to now. Uber for transport. Airbnb for hotels, Twitch for gamers and now, FoodCLUB for food.
Our social media is inspired by Adobe's creativity, Duolingo’s learning style and TikTok's connectivity. These include AI-powered food recognition, precise macro calculations, and interactive lessons to perfect cooking techniques, discover global cuisines, and reduce carbon foodprints. Imagine an AI that scans your refrigerator contents, suggests creative ingredient alternatives, and populates your digital shopping list, all while fostering a sense of community among users.
Recognising that food lies at the epicentre of many global challenges—contributing to 25% of climate change, consuming 70% of fresh water resources, and being a significant factor in 70% of diseases and illnesses—we're more than a social media platform. With an expanding user base, we aim to leverage our influence, providing education and structuring initiatives that nudge our community towards making impactful decisions, addressing some of humanity's most pressing dilemmas.
Airbnb for hotels. Uber for transport. Twitch for gamers. Where will the innovation be in the food industry?
