Key Responsibilities
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs to integrate and retrieve data.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure the robustness of the application.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile application development.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Required Skills
• Android Development: Extensive experience in developing Android applications using Java.
• Java: Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
• Android SDK: Deep understanding of the Android SDK, including Android components, lifecycle, and UI/UX design principles.
• APIs: Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize code for performance.
• UI/UX Design: Ability to design and implement user interfaces that are consistent with the overall user experience.
Additional Skills
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Proven experience in Java and Android development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kotlin programming language.
• Familiarity with Google Play Store guidelines and deployment process.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso.
