Job Description:
As an Android Developer at Offshore Software Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to build robust, user-friendly, and high-performance mobile applications. Your role will involve coding, debugging, and optimizing apps, ensuring they meet our clients’ needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Integrate third-party APIs, libraries, and services to enhance application functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure application stability, performance, and a seamless user experience.
- Stay current with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of Android applications.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with hands-on experience in Android SDK.
- Experience with Android frameworks and libraries such as Retrofit, Dagger, and Jetpack components.
- Familiarity with Android Studio and version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON for integrating with back-end services.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with modern Android development tools and practices, including Kotlin Coroutines and Android Jetpack.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience with app deployment to Google Play Store.
