ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance. Maintain code quality through code reviews, best practices, and automated testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Required Skills and Experience 8+ years of experience in Android development with a strong command of Java. Deep understanding of the Android SDK and different Android versions. Experience with designing responsive UIs that support various screen sizes and densities. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of Android apps with backend services. Strong grasp of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Experience with offline storage solutions, threading, and performance tuning. Ability to design applications using natural user interfaces such as touch gestures. Familiarity with device sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers. Knowledge of open-source Android libraries and tools for common development tasks (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Dagger/Hilt, Room, Jetpack components). Understanding of modern Android architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, etc.). Experience with version control systems like Git. Preferred Qualifications (these are the preferred key point) Experience with Kotlin. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, Dagger/Hilt, and other modern libraries/frameworks commonly used.. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools (e.g., Espresso, JUnit). Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
