The vision to embark on this journey arose from a conversation with a sponsor during a college fest at IIT Delhi, where in the middle of all the “deliverable checklist” conversations came an understanding that current day advertising is a push business happening at the cost of entertainment. There just had to be a way to make both work, and 7 years later, we, at Rusk with our customer-first mindset and branded content we’ve delivered value to advertisers across the nations’ length.
We deliver fiction entertainment via our products across the advertiser led (AVOD / free content) and subscriber led (SVOD / OTT) landscape. Rusk is building the full stack of digital entertainment across tech layered content IPs to P2E gaming which will be augmented by an immersive-metaverse built from the elements of its IPs & games
We’re a bunch that has loved entertainment across many forms – from Indian cinema, to sports to games. We’ve spent countless hours remembering dialogues from Shahrukh, replaying shorts from Sachin, or defeating the PC or our friends in Age-of empires.

Engineering Team @ Rusk
Building a social gaming platform to capture the attention of genZ audience. If building technology that impacts millions, brainstorming with some of the best minds in the country, executing at lightning speed, product-driven thinking, and owning your work from start to finish excites you, then let's start working together.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Work as a part of scrum team executing the products requirements working with UX, product management and other teams in an agile manner.
• Take proactive decisions on better UI / UX transitions and help deliver seamless user experience.
• Work on industry-first content creation features on the platform to drive creator economy.
• Take ownership across the SDLC – planning, analysing, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining – in adherence to Android's development standards and guidelines.
• Write code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind
• Effectively communicate scope, progress, concerns, and issues.
• Contribute to maintaining software development standards, guidelines, and practices up-to-date.
• Drive continuous improvements by collaborating with other development, test, release & infrastructure teams.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Provide subject matter expertise for Android platform.
• Develop mobile framework and UI based on best practices.
• Execute POCs for visionary initiatives.
• Work independently and provide guidance to junior developers.
Qualification
• In-depth knowledge of Native Android related technologies, Java, Kotlin language, Jetpack and design pattern (MVC, VIPER, MVVM).
• Experience with Android Architecture Components.
• Experience with the application development lifecycle, CI/CD and proficiency in writing maintainable code using TDD/BDD paradigms.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Experience in Test Driven Development would be a plus.
• Experience in writing Unit Tests, UI Instrumentation Test.
• Extensive understanding of Android native framework components and their respective lifecycles combined with a solid knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage and performance tuning.
• Passion for user experience and knowledge of Android Application Patterns as per Google’s interface guidelines (required).
• Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform (required).
• Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, continuous integration, and source control (GIT) and peer code-reviews (required).
• Knowledge in Android platform and OWASP security practices
