About the Role
Are you passionate about creating high-quality Android applications? We're looking for an experienced Android Developer to join the Betashares team and play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Betashares Direct app.
You’ll be responsible for building and enhancing the app while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams on technical solutions, architecture, and agile development practices. You’ll actively contribute to code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the app stays ahead of the latest development trends.
Working closely with designers and product managers, you'll deliver a seamless user experience with innovative features. If you're ready to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain the Betashares Direct android application.
Contribute to technical solution designs and architecture.
Work in an agile team and iteratively design products.
Actively participate in code review process by submitting and reviewing pull requests.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices in coding standards, version control, and testing.
Work closely with Designers and Product Managers and come up with solutions on how best to build features.
Identify and troubleshoot bugs or issues in existing applications.
Keep up with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and tools.
Key skills and experience
3+ years hands-on experience developing Android applications.
Proficient using Kotlin
Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM, Clean architecture.
Exposure to libraries such as Retrofit, Room, Dagger, and Jetpack components.
Experience with CI/CD tools for Android.
Understanding of Jetpack Compose framework would be a huge plus.
Experience working with UI design systems or component library.
Strong understanding of backend technologies will be quite beneficial.
Well versed in Git and applying sound continuous delivery principles.
