• The Software Engineer (Android) role provides technical expertise in the design, development, and delivery of quality applications
• Proven track record of developing robust and secured enterprise native Android applications with Kotlin
• Must have proven commercial experience delivering enterprise level applications on the Android platform.
• Good User Interface designing and development skills for tablets and smartphones.
Skills & experience:
• Developing robust and secured enterprise native Android applications with Kotlin
• An expert with Android SDK as well as keeping up to date with latest Android development practices
• Skilful in Architecture principles, UI Testing and CI/CD pipelines using SonarQube, Artifactory.
• Knowledge of RESTful services
• Expert in Reactive programming using RxJava/RxAndroid/Coroutine
• Skilled in Developing screens using Jetpack compose
• Should be able to participate in Code Reviews and provide comments to improve quality of the application
• Advance knowledge in source control management such as Git
• Previous experience of working with Agile methodology
• Experience with CI/CD and exposure to testing automation
• Solid application architecture experience in design patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture
• Keeping up to date with latest trends in Android development with a passion to pitch to peers and senior management new ideas to turn to reality
