Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in Android development
Proven track record of shipping Android applications, preferably in the fintech or payments space
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and building native apps
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and third-party libraries and services
Experience with MVVM architecture, dependency injection, and Jetpack components
Knowledge of secure coding practices, particularly in financial applications (e.g., encryption, authentication)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment tools
Experience with mobile analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities
As an Android Engineer, you won't just write code—you'll be at the forefront of building the future of point of sale financing
You'll be working with an agile, cross-functional team of innovators and problem-solvers, delivering next-gen features that customers will love and competitors will envy
Design & Development:
Develop new features and improve existing functionality for our Android POS financing app
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code adhering to industry best practices
Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Integration:
Integrate the app with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and financial services
Work with backend teams to ensure seamless communication between the app and the server
Security & Compliance:
Implement security protocols, including encryption and secure storage, to protect sensitive financial data
Ensure the app adheres to regulatory compliance standards such as PCI DSS
Testing & Debugging:
Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation across various Android devices
Use automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability and avoid regressions
Performance Optimization:
Monitor app performance and make necessary improvements to ensure optimal load times, responsiveness, and battery usage
Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure the application provides a seamless and intuitive user experience
Continuously identify areas for improvement in user interaction and design
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on Android development trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our app cutting-edge
Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior team members
