Detailed description: Key responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities:

Designing HMI architecture and components interaction for Android based infotainment programs
Designing and providing architectural direction to build the CoreUX (Reusable components) within the android application scope
Identify architectural constraints for the architectural level (project, domain, application) based on technical and organizational requirements and decompose them to architectural levels below
Document and communicate architectural decisions based on at least more than one design alternative
Get approval for architectural changes from the COC Lead / architects at a higher level
Analyse the customer requirement and map them to existing architecture or extend the architecture starting from the RFQ/RFI phase
Develop prototype and execute feasibility studies
Market research (FOSS - free and open-source alternatives)
Ensure traceability and consistency to system architecture and to software requirements
Escalate if software implementation is not according to agreed architectural alternative
Request all input which is necessary to fulfil the responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators:

Designing the HMI applications to meet all KPI and Compute requirements.
Designing CoreUX libraries to make sure the reusability of the components are taken care
Accountability for design decisions in the HMI domain.
Effective documentation of design information and communication.
Perform design and code review to keep track of quality metrics.
Ensuring compliance to organization process practices.
10+ years of experience on embedded systems, with focus on Android Applications development, android Framework and other HMI skills
Strong Java / Kotlin programming expertise.
Must have worked on applications based on different android framework components (Window manager, Views, Audio, Video, BT, WIFI, Power Module, etc.)
Experience on Android SystemUI and customizations
Experience in NDK/C++/Java/Android framework
Experience working in automotive environment and HMI applications
Should have experience on Android development and debugging at run-time HW environment
Experience in application performance Tuning: Garbage Collector and Heap Analysis, Thread analysis, Memory Leaks, Core Dump, Profiling, Refactoring, GPU analysis.
Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing complex software defects
Hands on experience with SCM tools and services such as Git, Gitlab, gerrit or others
Android build, porting and customization experience
System level debugging
Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
