The Digital S/W Engineer Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Responsibilities:
• Design and build a highly interactive, user-friendly Android application using Kotlin & Java & latest Android studio / SDK
• Perform entire software development (mobile application) lifecycle, from conceptualization, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Create and execute unit tests on your code, to ensure its robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Efficiently use third-party data sources and APIs.
• Experience in sharing best practices, common Android UI/API components to developer community.
• Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs and improve application performance.
• Keep up to date with latest android technologies (SDK, APIs, OS version), best practices and industry trends.
Qualifications:
• + + years of experience in Mobile Native & Hybrid, App, Web development.
• 4+ years solid Android software development experience as individual contributor & technical lead.
• At least contributed to 2 to 4 Android apps published.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK and Java & Koltin, Jetpack compose, Kotlin coroutines.
• Solid understanding of MVVM/MVC/MVP, Clean Architecture, SOLID patterns
• Expertise in Restful/API integration (JSON, XML)
• Experience with continuous integration, code deployment software, workflows and source management tools (Git)
• Experience with agile development (e.g., SCRUM)
• Expertise with application lifecycle management and monitoring for Android
• Expertise in writing automated tests (Unit, Instrumentation, UI tests) and using testing tools / libraries for Android.
• Experience working in CI/CD pipelines, build scripts, store publish and Google play policies.
• Knowledge of full-stack development and cross-platform development (Android, web) will be an advantage.
• Able to work both independently as well as within a team.
• Strong understanding of third-party libraries and APIs, such as OKHTTP, RxJava
• Good knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good to have Google android developer certification.
Education:
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
