Company is a startup at Hyderabad. We provide software solutions that combine analytics with simple and effective product design, for solving issues faced by retailers in their supply chain. It is a startup, started in 2016, with less than 10 employees, but poised for future growth. The company operates as a flat hierarchy, where everyone is involved in decisions, and can take on multiple roles.
We are looking for an Android developer, ideally with additional knowledge of front-end web development in JavaScript, for building and maintaining apps with unique interfaces and functionalities, capable of integrating with back end services. This will involve working in cross-functional teams alongside other engineers and developers who are responsible for different portions of the total infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Converting wireframes and mockups into high quality, high performance code.
Translating business requirements into technical requirements
Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and stability of the application.
Locating and fixing bugs, performance issues, and errors.
Requirements
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent degree.
Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and different versions of Android.
Ability to build applications that can display correctly on a large variety of screen sizes.
Experience building apps that can integrate and sync with backend services through RESTful API's. Experience building apps that can function offline, along with offline storage capability.
Strong understanding of memory management, app lifecycle and threading on Android.
Strong knowledge of Android's UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Familiarity with version control software such as Git.
Good to also have :
Strong knowledge of front-end web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience building cross-browser Single Page Web Applications.
Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as Ember and AngularJS.
