Job Description
Clinician Type: MD/DO
Unit/Dept: Anesthesiology
Unit Details: Hospital with 2 Operating Rooms and No Call Duties
Daily Patient Volume: Typically 4-6 cases per shift, depending on designated area
Additional Providers/Support Staff: Work alongside multiple Anesthesiologists and CRNAs; little oversight of CRNAs may be necessary
EMR System(s): Epic (HealthConnect)
Lic/Certs: Active CA License and BLS Certification
BC/BE: Board Certified (BC)
Credentialing Timeframe: Expect a timeline of 12 weeks from application submission, though it could be shorter based on credentialing progress
Start Date: As soon as possible (ASAP)
Duration: Initial commitment of 6 months with potential for extension; full-time only
Shift: Monday to Sunday from 7 AM to 5 PM, requiring at least one weekend per month
Housing/Travel: Hourly pay rate is non-inclusive. Local candidates preferred. If travel is necessary, full travel and lodging will be covered, including round-trip coach airfare, economy car rental, and lodging within approved budget.
Pay Structure: Bid
Notes: COVID vaccination is required. No on-call responsibilities, but candidates may discuss interest in on-call duties.
Required experience: Expertise in General Anesthesia for General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Urology, and occasionally small Neuro procedures. No OB or Cardiac experience required. Candidates should be comfortable assisting CRNAs in rare situations.
