Job Description
Clinician Type: MD/DO
Unit/Dept: Anesthesiology
Unit Details: Hospital with 2 OR's, No Call
Daily Patient Volume: Typically 4-6 cases per shift, depending on assigned area
Additional Providers/Support Staff: Multiple Anesthesiologists and CRNAs providing coverage; minimal CRNA oversight may be required
EMR System(s): Epic (HealthConnect)
Lic/Certs: Active CA License, BLS
BC/BE: Board Certified
Credentialing Timeframe: No temporary positions. Expect a 12-week timeline from submission to target start date, with potential for earlier start based on credentialing speed
Start Date: ASAC
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension; full-time only
Shift: Monday to Sunday, 7 AM to 5 PM, working 4 days a week with at least 1 weekend required per month
Housing/Travel: Hourly rate non-inclusive. Preference for local candidates. If travel is necessary, benefits include round trip coach airfare, economy car rental, and lodging within the approved budget
Pay Structure: Negotiable
Notes: Covid vaccination is required. No call required, but candidates may discuss options if interested
Required Experience: Proficient in General Anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, urology, with minimal involvement in neurology. No OB or cardiac experience is required. Comfort with infrequent assistance to CRNAs is necessary.
