We are currently onboarding animators, motion artists, character designers, storyboard artists, composers, and creative professionals for upcoming animation projects, film productions, and media collaborations on UMDB. Whether you are just starting out or looking to build more credits, this is an opportunity to get involved in real productions, community competitions, and industry-facing work.
UMDB is the number one platform built to help emerging creatives get discovered, earn professional credentials, and connect directly with opportunities in film, animation, and media.
What You'll Be Doing:
Apply to active casting calls and creative roles posted by producers and studios
Collaborate with filmmakers, directors, and production teams Build your professional portfolio, showreel, and credits on your UMDB profile
Compete in industry competitions to earn Official Selection credentials
Get visibility among casting directors, producers, and creators actively looking for talent
Coming This July — The 7 Stages of Animation: UMDB is launching a first-of-its-kind animation competition in July 2026. 750 animators enter.
Every week the community votes. The lowest-voted animators are eliminated. Only the strongest survive to the grand finale in September.
Seven stages. A real production pipeline. Concept, 3D model, surfacing, animatic, animation, lighting, and final render. Every entrant receives an Official Selection badge on their UMDB profile permanently — a real professional credential, whether you make the finale or not. Free to enter. You keep all rights to your work.
✅ Requirements: Passion for animation, film, media, or content creation Willingness to collaborate and contribute to projects
Any software accepted — Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, and more No prior experience required — all levels welcome
Compensation: Varies by project. Includes both paid and unpaid opportunities depending on production scope. Competition prize pool details to be announced.
