AO7 Senior HR Advisor (Workforce Strategy)
About the Role:
Six Degrees are seeking a dynamic and experienced AO7 Senior HR Advisor (Workforce Strategy) to join a close-knit HR team within a Queensland Government agency. The Senior HR Advisor will work collaboratively under the direction of the Senior Manager, People and Culture, to deliver contemporary, innovative, and responsive people and culture solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives on managing ad hoc HR projects and has a knack for policy development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving HR initiatives and supporting the agency’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver a variety of HR projects across the agency to support strategic and operational objectives.
Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and legislative requirements.
Provide expert advice and support to management on complex HR matters.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities.
Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Mentor and guide junior HR staff as needed to build capability within the team.
About You:
Strong experience in HR project management, policy development, and implementation within a complex environment, preferably within the public sector.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight timeframes.
Knowledge of relevant employment legislation, industrial awards, and public sector HR frameworks.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
