Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Location: San Jose, California, Part 145 Shop, Leading Flight School
Pay:
$40/hour
Job Description: Join our team as an A&P Mechanic and work on general aviation aircraft in a dynamic flight school environment. Ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet through meticulous maintenance and inspections.
Responsibilities:
Perform 50-hour and 100-hour inspections on general aviation aircraft.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance per FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, and system discrepancies.
Maintain detailed maintenance records, including logbook entries.
Collaborate with mechanics and flight school staff to ensure aircraft availability and safety.
Qualifications:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Licensed aviation mechanic.
2-3 years of general aviation experience, including maintenance and inspections.
Familiarity with piston-engine aircraft and general aviation operations.
Strong understanding of FAA regulations and safety procedures.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, +:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Environment:
Flight school hangar, working both indoors and outdoors
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
