Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Apartment Turnover Painter for ongoing work painting vacant apartments in NYC.
Apartments include:
Studios
1-bedroom
2-bedroom
3-bedroom
Work includes full repaints and wall repairs between tenants.
Responsibilities:
Paint vacant apartments efficiently and neatly
Patch holes, spackle, sand, and repair walls
Light drywall repair and minor wall removal if needed
Prep and protect floors, doors, and fixtures
Maintain clean and professional work
Communicate job status clearly
Be respectful in residential buildings
Productivity Expectations:
Studio & 1-bedroom: 1 day
2-bedroom & 3-bedroom: 2 days
Schedule:
Ongoing work as available
Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Earlier start times can be discussed
Pay Structure:
Paid per apartment
Rate depends on:
– Apartment size
– Prep and repair work required
Materials & Tools:
Paint is provided
Painter must provide their own tools (rollers, brushes, drop cloths, spackle tools, sanding tools, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in painting and wall repair
Experience with drywall repair
Experience working in NYC apartments or residential buildings
Knowledge of painting tools, equipment, and safety practices
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team
Must speak basic English
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be comfortable working as an independent contractor
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with luxury or high-end apartment move-outs
Familiar with NYC building rules and management requirements
Flexible schedule (short notice, evenings, or weekends when needed)
Professional appearance and good communication with supers and building staff
