About the Role
Punchh's API collections and SDKs are used by thousands of developers. Integrated applications make a billion API calls to Punchh each week, in addition to hundreds of integrations consuming our data pipelines and webhooks products. Our Developer Relations (DevRel) group is pivotal to promoting the health and vibrancy of our developer community. The team here is responsible for our developer onboarding and enablement, best practices documentation and tutorials, developer tools, general developer evangelism, and supporting customer and partner integration projects as they consume our APIs to create even greater joint value for our customers.
As a DevRel Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving success for our partner vendors and use the experience to build and influence the partner developer program. You will be joining a full-stack engineering and cross-functional team, and collaborate with experienced Product Managers on the Punchh Developer Portal and in the Punchh Developer Community. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who is interested in switching to a career in developer evangelism/marketing or product management.
What you will do
• Focusing on POS and in-store technologies, become an expert on our application and data integration frameworks to:
• Coach partner developers on integration best practices
• Develop sample code and tutorials to train partner developers
• Define and execute on the certification standards and process for third party integrations
• Maintain internal documentation on certification matrix
• Enable implementations and support teams on third party developed integrations
• Influence API roadmap
• Work closely with the Punchh 3rd-party certifications team and Punchh GTM teams to manage customer and vendor expectations around integration certification
What you will need
• 2-3 years of development experience with a focus on publishing and consuming web and mobile APIs in a variety of languages and frameworks. Java, C#, Javascript and Native React to name a few.
• Familiarity with Python, Go and RoR is preferred
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for precise articulation of developer problems
• Have managed multiple partners (and/or clients) through the full life cycle of a joint technical product offering – from design to ship and continuous refinement
• Have experience in...
• building Android, iOS, and/or web developer-facing products
• quick prototyping, publishing sample code, tutorials and micro-blogging
• collaborating across product, engineering and GTM teams to manage expectations
