Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AppDynamics Developer with a strong software development background, excellent communication skills and hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and optimizing AppDynamics APM solutions. The ideal candidate will hold an AppDynamics certification and demonstrate a solid understanding of application performance monitoring, distributed systems, and code instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, configure, and maintain AppDynamics APM solutions across diverse environments (web, mobile, cloud, and on-prem).
· Instrument applications using AppDynamics agents (Java, .NET, Node.js, etc.) and custom scripts to ensure end-to-end observability.
· Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and SRE teams to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
· Develop dashboards, health rules, alerts, and reports to visualize application performance metrics.
· Interpret AppDynamics data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for performance optimization.
· Integrate AppDynamics with CI/CD pipelines and other monitoring/incident management tools.
· Automate monitoring configurations through APIs and scripts where applicable.
· Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams on AppDynamics best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
· 4+ years of experience in application development (Java/.NET/Node.js or similar).
· 2+ years of hands-on experience with AppDynamics.
· AppDynamics certification (e.g., Certified Associate Performance Analyst or higher) is mandatory .
· Strong understanding of microservices, distributed architectures, and performance tuning.
· Proficiency in scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation and integration tasks.
· Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Familiarity with other monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog) is a plus.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in integrating AppDynamics with logging (e.g., ELK, Splunk) and alerting systems (e.g., PagerDuty, ServiceNow).
· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Experience with REST APIs and JSON data formats.
